Intro
This document explains the components of the Omni Customer Data Infrastructure, helping you build a fully containerized platform for capturing, formatting, ingesting real-time data, and managing ETL tasks.
Creating a private customer data infrastructure is a significant promise, and we understand the seriousness of this claim. Through modularity, extensive use of Docker, Terraform, and a practical approach to handling customer data, we are dedicated to making this a reality.
While we operate with much less funding (multiple orders of magnitude less) compared to well-known Customer Data Platform (CDP) brands that raise billions, we are determined to develop our unique approach to private customer data infrastructure. Omni CDI is built by Datomni's highly distributed team of experts across four continents, with the majority based in Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Thailand.
Here's why: we've seen firsthand how many companies miss out on advanced, real-time analytics because they assume it's only feasible for large corporations with substantial analytics and data teams. This oversimplification is something we've encountered in our previous work with companies. We strongly believe in a different perspective. Smaller companies can significantly enhance their growth, efficiency, and overall value by embracing advanced analytics.
At the same time, we're trying not to be dogmatic about what we're building here. Being a bootstrapped, primarily consulting, and analytics company kind of forces us to embrace an objective approach to the products we use to deliver our services. It's clear that other CDPs available in the market are purebred technological marvels that have their (extensive) uses. However, through the number of CDPs implementations we've done over the years, we've always found something missing, and Omni CDI is our response to the aggregate of that something we've encountered.
Omni CDI is not an exercise in theory either. As we write this, our platforms are actively processing events. When applicable, they also serve as the analytical backbone for specific consulting or implementation packages, such as those for Pipedrive and our Pipedrive Booster 2.0.
It's crucial to note that Omni CDI is constantly evolving. We're continually adding, removing, changing, and tweaking components. Just as people, companies also have life's work, and Omni CDI is Datomni's life's work. While we strive to keep this documentation up to date, there may be instances where it doesn't perfectly align with the latest developments in our branches. However, this doesn't diminish the applicability and usability of our platform.

Getting Started
Get started by deploying your Omni Analytics instance, and make it possible to consume real-time event flows. Once your events are captured and activated, try spinning up one of our Omni ETL micro-applications, such as the one for Google Search Console.
